Colorado !!!

Le show Soul Searching est parti quelques jours dans le Colorado a Denver.
C etait tres sympa, avion, minibus, recu comme des stars, grosse scene dans une grande salle pleine de gens tres riches, super hotel, resto, tout ca. Denver est la "Mile High City", donc a une altitude de 1690 metres je crois, on y respire bien mais peu: on avait une tente a oxygene dans les loges ! J avais demande un bel ampli Fender HotRod DeLuxe, et on m avait demande de preciser la marque de biere que je voulais sur scene, sweet ;)

J ai ete le seul de la troupe a etre emmene a la fouille a l aeroport a l aller (...), puis on m a sorti de l avion pour un probleme de nom (j ai l habitude).
Retour tranquille, beau survol du pays (j ai tout filme mais n ai pas le temps de mettre en ligne), a part le fait qu on m a refuse l acces a l avion a cause des bieres susdites ! Kathryn (une actrice) et moi sommes alors sortis les boire dehors, mais la c est la Police de l aeroport qui nous a arrete...

Bref, sympa Denver, mais c est un peu trop Far West parfois (il y a des supermarches pour les armes...).

L arrivee au dessus de New York etait memorable, mon plus beau survol de jour juque la...

Soul Searching DragQueens ?

C est toujours amusant: mercredi soir, c etait le Dragqueen country show CornHole County. Comme il faisait chaud, j ai pu me faire un Brooklyn - East Village a velo avec la guitare sur le dos, tranquille, et tellement plus rapide que le metro pour rentrer vers 4 heures du matin, meme apres le rhum. Arrive donc un nouveau bassiste, Darren. L invite du soir etait d ailleurs Poison Eve, qui m a beaucoup fait rire avec sa lampe. Darren joue tres bien, impressionant meme, et il a un instrument original, Sadowsky, de couleur Pink Salmon, comme ma guitare. Il fait maintenant fierement partie du group, The Grand Oly Pickers, et me donne sa business card avec sa photo dessus.
Le lendemain soir, je jouais avec Soul Searching dans l Upper West Side, au bord de Central Park, au Makor Center. Apres le show, une fille me pose des questions sur ma guitare, et m explique son ex boy-friend a un instrument de la meme couleur, sauf que c est une basse, Sadowsky, qu il en joue bien, qu il s appelle Darren et qu elle lui a meme fait sa carte de visite...
C est bien le meme, c est toujours amusant ;)

Busy winter....

Hey there,
It s been a while i havent posted, apologies.
It has been totally crazy for the past 2 months, plus my camera broke down, so no pic !
LiquidS is back on track with a lot of things happening: the band was invited to play at RnR for the last party before it closed;
then at Snitch for the ElectricLife first anniversary;
the Cutting Room: great place where we re gonna play again for sure.
The biggest event was our concert for Fashion Week 2007 at the Puck Building: LiquidS was the only band invited and that was very classy and cool, in front of several hundreds of celebrities, actors, models. "Naughtiest Miss USA 2006" Tara Conner was there, although she s been taken her prize for "immoral behavior". I was glad to run into Randy Jones (Village People's cowboy) that told me: "Hey, i know you, you re LiquidS !" (we previously met when he came to CornHole County).
LiquidS has 3 videos going on as well, plus remixes and all.

Also, i went to Paris-France for a couple of shows and to visit family and friends;
Then i returned to NYC where i had tons of gigs:
Soul Searching (Makor Center NY, Tenafly NJ),
Corn Hole (Otto's, Joe's Pub, Neptune Lounge),
Flamenco guitar duo (Red Bamboo, Frederick's Lounge, Convivium Osteria, Poetessa, private parties),
Music score for the movie "Phobia" (with Bollywood director Karan Rawat)
"Acoustic Africa" the film, with director Roman Bodnar (freshbreadnetwork.com).

Well, this explains why i hadnt much time to give news. I ll try to fix that from now on, although we re starting new recordings...
