Africa came to me this Tuesday November 14: the 5O-date Acoustic Africa Tour came to New York City.
I was asked to perform as a french-english interpreter for a TV interview at the hotel; then i saw the show at BBKing 's Blues Club on 42nd Street (Disneyland Strip ?); More on this tour on http://www.putumayo.com/acousticafrica/
Incredible people of Fairtrade association oxfam were there too: visit their website, support their action (oxfam.org).
Excellent day, very nice meeting and jam with Vusi Mahlasela, Habib Koite and Dobet Gnahore, Keletigui Diabate: we happened to have a lot of common friends in that small music world (not "world music"), so that was immedialtly very friendly, "comme a la maison".Utimately, we had a party backstage, with guitars, drinks, food and all the rest...
I went back home with music and sounds from overthere, happy....
