Il y a quatre ans, Michel me dit qu il a rencontre un super ingenieur du son un nuit dans un taxi, un certain Wicked. Plus tard, ma soeur me parle d un reality show musical ou les gagnants vont enregistrer a NY. On y voit Philippe Saisse assiste de Christian Wicked qui dirigent le fameux percussioniste Bashiri Johnson (Madonna, Britney Houston, Stevie Wonder, etc...).
Quelques mois plus tard, liquidS travaille avec Wicked et rencontre P.Saisse.
Il y a deux ans, je passais ma premiere audition a Broadway: j avais ecris la grille de Watermelon Man de Herbie Hancock dans le metro en y allant, je l ai donne au pianiste local, on a jamme, ils m ont choisi.
Le mois d apres, pendant les repetitions, qui je croise dans les studio: Herbie Hancock, qui m invite dans son studio, ou je rencontre en plus Marcus Miller, Omar Hakim et Bashiri Johnson.
L annee derniere, mon ami Storm me propose de composer la musique pour un court metrage, Beautiful Jones.
Ce soir, je reviens de la session finale pour le film (qui part demain pour le Sundance Film Festival en Californie): c est Bashiri Johnson qui joue les percussions sur la musique que j ai compose et enregistre, et c est moi qui le dirige, dans son studio !
On est devenu pote, tres cool. Il me racontait qu hier soir, il jouait avec Santana et d autres au Dream Concert * pour financer le Martin Luther King Memorial au Radio City Music Hall (;), et qu a minuit, il enchainait une session pour l album de Jay-Z; celui ci est passe au studio une demi heure avec P.Diddy, Beyonce, 50 Cent et une vingtaine d autres, en buvant du champagne dans des bouteilles dorees...

J ai une photo, mais dans mon cellphone, je n ai plus d appareil photo depuis presqu un an...

Garth Brooks, Queen Latifah, Joss Stone and Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds join the world’s top artists including Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Carlos Santana, Robin Thicke, Bebe Winans, Cece Winans and Jessye Norman for a once-in-a-lifetime concert. Whoopi Goldberg has joined as a special guest presenter and Grammy-award winner Alicia Keyes, along with Petra Nemcova and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, are the newest additions to The Dream Concert Host Committee. Rickey Minor has signed on as Musical Director.
Tommy Hilfiger, Russell Simmons, Joel Horowitz, Quincy Jones, David Stern and Edgar Bronfman, Jr. are co-chairing The Dream Concert, a historic gathering of the top musicians in the country, as well as prominent figures from politics, sports and entertainment to benefit the building of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial in Washington, DC. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis serve as the event’s artistic directors and Ben Affleck, Muhammad Ali, Angela Bassett, Jamie Foxx, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, LaDainian Tomlinson, Kerry Washington and former Mayor David Dinkins are the previously announced Host Committee members. Al Roker will also appear during the concert as a special guest presenter.
